Tell Tale Heart

Here's Canadian Skate Punks, Beyond Possession and their debut EP Tell Tale Heart from 1985. These Alberta-based lads cover the very punk topics of religion, skating, revenge, and even tackle the classic Poe story all in under ten minutes. I guess when you play fast you economize your time.

Calgary represents! BP makes me want to skate, and I stopped skating after a bad bale where I landed and skidded across a parking lot on my face.

Selling off my copy of the Beyond Possession discography CD over ten years ago is still one of the stupidest things I've ever done.

Love it. These guys used to blow away any big name band they opened for; Circle Jerks, 7 seconds,C.O.C., Suicidal, (hell, Muir stole all of Ron Hadley's moves after they toured with em.) Shit, they made Soul Asylum cry once.
Have you heard the lp 'Creatures for Awhile' by Personality Crisis? That record is another prairie hardcore classic.

Killer band! Frontside slappy curb action all the way. Was just in Calgary last month for the first time....So boring that I can see how Beyond Possession got their urge to destroy boredom.

Check out this recent Skate Rock podcast over at Nardwuar side of the tracks.

Rad! One of my favorite shows featured BP (playing with Dr Know, Poison Idea and RKL).
I thought the different covers had to do with 1st press (which had 6 songs) and 2nd press (which dropped one cause it was on the album -- which is also rad).
Thanks for a last great post for a while. Have good tours.
